COLOURFUL DREAMING

I LITERALLY THINK ALBERTO SANCHEZ'S WORK IS SOME OF THE COOLEST I'VE EVER SEEN. HE WAS EXHIBITING IN THE RETROSPECT GALLERY, IN BRYON BAY, NSW AT THE TIME MY BOYFRIEND & I WERE LIVING THERE, & WE WOULD GO IN PRETTY MUCH EVERYDAY JUST TO STARE AT THE BEAUTIFUL COLOURS & CRAFTSMENSHIP OF SANCHEZ'S ARTWORK. THEY ARE FAR FROM ORDINARY PHOTOGRAPHS, AS ALBERTO PRINTS, HACKS & THEN RE-INVENTS HIS PHOTOS TO GIVE THEM A 'UNIQUE FLAVOUR'. WITH INK & ACRYLIC SPLODGES, CREASES, SCRATCHING, FADING & RESIN COATING AS PART OF THE PROCESS, THEY LOOK AS IF THEY'VE BEEN RESTORED FROM THE 70'S. THE OUTCOME GIVES THIS BEAUTIFUL DREAMY EFFECT, WHICH YOU CAN SEE ABOVE.
